Each year, the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) holds its prestigious Design Competition. This year, the 1st Place Winner in the Residential Kitchens - Medium Size Category was Sherry A. Faure, Certified Kitchen Designer of Woodside, California. product

Sherry Faure says candidly, "The stove won the award for me." Ms. Faure describes how she took her husband, Leon, over to see the finished kitchen. "I kept asking him what he thought of the room, and all he said over and over again was, "I love that stove."

The winning kitchen features a Heartland six burner Gas Range, Model 7100, offering every contemporary feature a cook could want along with the chaming look of a turn of the century woodburning stove.

Owner of the home, Lynn Dutra, is quoted as saying "Modern convenience and an old-fashioned look were what we were after."

Robert and Brenda Loy own 52 acres in suburban Knoxville, Tennessee. Their estate setting is a classic southern scene. A long driveway through a pine tree setting leads to a lovely three-storey Victorian situated in front of a huge pond.
